Career Advice
Students are more than welcome to approach their lecturer,
programme co-ordinator or the Centre Director to discuss
their progress or seek advice on the appropriate course
units to take to achieve their chosen career.
Consultations
All
lecturers make time available for students to consult
them after classroom hours. These consultation times
will be notified to students. During these times, students
may raise any queries or problems or receive free tutorials
if necessary.
Library
Each
Centre has a library, which is open on weekdays and
on Saturdays. Students are encouraged to borrow library
books. Internet facility is also provided in the library.
Please follow library rules at all times.
Futhermore,
all centres has its own students resources server and
new resources are available to students at all times.
Student's Association
A
Student's Association gives students their own student
body with elected representatives to plan and organise
student activities. Student complaints and concerns
can be raised with NZPTC management through this forum.
Medical Services
Each
Centre has a fully-equipped First Aid Kit to cater for
minor injuries and sicknesses. Where more urgent care
is needed, students will be directed immediately to
a medical consultant within the vicinity.
Each
Centre also has an official doctor. Students will require
a medical certificate from this doctor if:
* Missing an examination or important test due to accident
or illness
* Missing the due date for handing in an assignment
due to accident or illness.
